Limited time Vault Dweller's Survival Guide for Gamestop

BethBlog brings word Gamestop has some bonus pre-order schwag for a limited time only namely the Vault Dweller's Survival Guide that was handed out at PAX and is available online.
Wanted to let you know that Gamestop.com has added a new incentive for pre-ordering Fallout 3 on their website. Along with your copy of the Game, you’ll not only receive the free Fallout 3 poster and CD, but now you’ll also receive a copy of the Vault Dweller’s Survival Guide — previously available only at PAX.

Regarding this offer, here are a few things you should know:

    * The Vault Dweller’s Guide is limited in quantity. When they run out of guides, that’s it.
    * The offer is for online pre-orders only and cannot be received with an in-store pickup.
    * If you’ve already pre-ordered online, you’re set to receive your Vault Dweller’s Survival Guide along with your Game, poster and CD. You don’t need to do anything else.
Why do they need to give people this much stuff anyway? Too few pre-orders?

So it comes down to, from Gamestop, you can either preorder and pick it up at teh store and get a poster and 'sound track' OR you can preorder online and have them ship it to get the guide.

I opted for the music myself...

Preorder swag is a huge business. If you bought the CE of Age of Conan for instance, there was several months where the code for the mount you got in-game with the CE would get you an easy $80 on ebay.

For me it's one of those things that I was going to buy the game anyway, why not get the extras if it's stuff I'll like and want?

Pretty sure that if you order online you get all the preorder stuff, you just have to wait till the game comes to your door.

Not acording to the manager at my local Gamestop, but I'm also contacting the website for clarification...

Nah, gamestop for sure gives you all preorder stuff. They say so on their website.
So I preordered F3 Collectors from Gamestop and they will send me all their special preorder bonuses plus the new survival guide.

However, I haven't seen this commented on yet, Amazon gives you a cool pipboy 3000 replica clock But they also CHARGE YOU FOR IT, bastards Seeing as how the Amazon preorder is for $115 and the Gamestop is $69

Actually the pip-boy swag is part of the VERY limited Survivial ed. Amazon also sells the normal CE as well.
