    New Afterfall website launched

    Afterfall launched a new website.
Some of you might already be familiar with Afterfall game project from before we had joined Nicolas Games. Now, we are entering a new stage of game's development. Every person who had been working hard on the game for the past three years, has now been given an opportunity to work in a brand new development studio – Nicolas Intoxicated. We have been working intensively for a couple of weeks now, and the results we got, are more than satisfactory.

We are all very excited. In spite of media-silence lately (apologies for the impatient fans, who diligently track progress of our project), we can assure you soon you'll be getting more coverage from us, and not only on the game itself. Almost every person in our team works on things, we definitely want to share with you. Sometimes we are confused, because we would like to show you every stage of the development progress, even the smallest bits – talk about our plans and share our happiness with you. On the other hand, we really want to surprise you by some things, which have never before been part of any other game. And because of that, we also need to introduce a little dose of mystery.

However, in time, you will find out everything about Afterfall. It is not only cRPG game (remember! It’s not a game with RPG-elements only!) takes place in post-apocalyptic world. It is a huge project, in which we put our hearts and power. This is the game which every single one of us wants to play and we are convinced that when you know our project better – you will share our enthusiasm.

We encourage you to visit our website – afterfall.pl and join the ranks of our forum members, where you can talk both with fans and part of the game developer team alike.
    And this great concept art:

Looks promising although I cringe at every game having the word Fall in its name. Couldn't they think of some other name, something that doesn't allude to Fallout?

Well, it started pretty clearly with the intent of being a spiritual sequel to Fallout. The direct reference is no shock.

I'm sure AF devs explained it many times on this forum already. When there were propositions for the name of the game, Afterfall was simply a good name. It's resemblance to Fallout was a disadvantage but resigning of something good simply because it reminds of Fallout is stupid.

I think it isn't a bad point at all.

Finally some good news. I hope everything goes the right way so that we can see it someday in the stores.

I remember the old Afterfall site with lots of info about the game, it was almost like a little dev.doc. There were so many features, i forgot most of them. I imagine it will be quite a task to program everything on that list in the engine. Good luck!

If everything goes well we should be playing some pretty good crpgs in the near future.

True, fusion cells shouldn't just explode, but then again, I don't really care. Exploding cars are fun.

They have been working on the game for 3 years, even if there still is a lot to do some of it is already done.

Hope to play this game soon.

One of the devs on their forum has something like Milestone 36% in his signature so it could take a year or two until this game sees the light of day.

Yes, but in those 3 years some work must have been done. If it takes 3 years to complete the game that means the game is half done.

Agree'd that the game has had some time passed, but so have other games that turned out good. Stalker being a prime example of this kind of thing.

Fantastic concept piece there, and in very nice resolution also.

The art is nice, especially the piece posted above. The site is just funny at this moment, though: you can only click 'home' and 'forum' and the forum contains what? 10 posts?
Also: that game publisher (Nicolas Intoxicate)? Anyone know any games published by that one? I glanced at the site and it seemed more of a children software publisher (no offense).

I still remember those early Bourgeoisie screenshots, with that half-arsed engine they used. I thought they looked awesome. I'm not kidding. I liked those a lot. They added to that post-apoc feel, methinks. Or am I just being nostalgic now?

Nicolas Games was mostly a distributor so far. They merged their efforts with Intoxicate Interactive to form Nicolas Intoxicate to make this game with. Neither studio ever developed a game.

Probably those were from an ancient build.

The new website looks really great, I cannot wait to see what will come out of this project.

no the engine or nothing has changed since the last sight before this one

they are likely just too busy working on the game to have someone go and put everything back up on the new site that was on the old one!

at least i hope so, i sure hope all that good stuff hasn't changed
it was nice reading the little stories that went with all the weapons and vehicles and areas - etc

ack! new site! awesome concept art with the choppers, got those same engines in our boats... anyway i already have soo many questions about that one picture!
We can always opt for electric brain shock to forget our memories. So long as we remember to make a note to play Fallout and Fallout 2!!! and AFTERFALL w007!!!! 1337ness!!!!!!
