Sulik is the best NPC fighter and can see you through the whole game. If you can tame his tendency of going HtH with mobs of assault-rifle weilding raiders, that is.

Cassidy is the second best combat NPC after Sulik and can see you through to the end. Give him a sniper rifle, or an assault rifle or shotgun if you're feeling brave, and watch him go. He has a heart condition, and unless you want to see him come to a messy end you shouldn't give him access to any drugs except stimpaks and super-stimpacks.

Robobrain's body can be found in a lower level of the SAD; in order recruit him as an NPC you will have to figure out how to repair him. There are four possible variations of Robobrain you can end up with, as the stats above reflect; Chimp, Abnormal, Human, and Cybernetic. The Chimp and Abnormal versions can only fight unarmed, the Human and Cybernetic versions can use small guns. Your Science skill will determine which one you end up with.

Goris can be found in the library of Vault 13 and will ask to join you when you talk with him. Goris can only use his claws as weapons, and in combat is about what you would expect from a Deathclaw: high damage and lots of critical hits. Like Marcus though, his inability to use armor limits his survivability once you start encountering enemies wielding miniguns and energy weapons.

The bane of the min-maxer. Pariah Dog can be found in a random encounter if you have a very low Luck stat, 4 or less. Once "recruited", Pariah Dog will follow you around and calmly observe the chaos that ensues as almost every action you take goes horribly wrong. Once he's joined your party he will stay with you until one of you is dead - hopefully it won't be you.
